XO Book Co. is a dream more than a decade in the making. Owner Juliet Gengenbach has been a dedicated romance reader since her teen years, and her love of the genre led her to pursue her university degree in English Literature and Publishing.

Juliet went on to work in the book world, with a special focus on Romance. After many years working in publishing, marketing, and fundraising, Juliet started XO Book Co. because she believed Wellington deserved a bookstore that truly understood romance books and their readers.

With XO Book Co., Juliet hopes to create an environment, and more importantly, a community, that welcomes and celebrates all readers.
